Gulled "Coach G" Ahmed: Head Kick Boxing Instructor. Coach G was born in East Africa and immigrated to the US as a teenager. He began training at Houston's Kickboxing Gym at age 17. He earned an instructors rank under Coach Mike Altman. In 2001, G won the US Open feather weight championship. Coach G has trained and competed in San Shou, Muay Thai, and Full Contact Rules kickboxing. His coaches and training partners have included Coach Mike Altman (USAWKF, IKF,and IWUF champ), KJ Noons (Elite XC and IKF Champ) and Lee King.

Lee King began training in kickboxing under Coach Mike Altman in 1999. Since then, Lee has coached and competed as a professional fighter, training under Saul Soliz and Sean Lou. He has won multiple championships and titles in his career and continues to fight professionally in both
Muay Thai and MMA.
Fitness and Conditioning

Sandra Deluzio: Cardio and Fitness instructor. An ACE certified Personal Trainer, fitness instructor, and certified Spinning instructor, Sandra has been training and teaching fitness classes for 6 years. She graduated from Columbia University with her MS in Occupational Therapy. While living in New York, she taught boot camp and spinning classes. Sandra received her undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University where she was a member of the women's lacrosse team and captained the women's soccer team.
Brian Melancon is a professional mixed martial arts fighter and physical therapist. Brian first found a love for health and fitness as a teenager while pursuing his hobbies of weightlifting and powerlifting. When Brian made the switch from powerlifting to martial arts, he transformed his body, shedding over 50 pounds. He holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch. Brian has also been a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer since 2007. He has worked with clients of all fitness levels ranging from beginners to UFC fighters. When he is not in the gym, Brian works as a home health Physical Therapist treating homebound patients who are unable to make it to an outpatient clinic.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Igor Santos: Igor began studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 1988 when he was just 7 years old. He studied under professor Julio Cesar from Gama Filho University. In 2000, at the age of 19, he received his purple belt and began teaching kids BJJ classes at the university. In 2004, he received his black belt and began studying Physical Education at
University Gama Filho. Igor has spent years practicing, teaching, and competing at the most elite level of jiu jitsu. He has accumulated over 70 titles in his career including the Brazilian National Championships 5 times and the Rio De Janeiro State Championships 6 times.

Andre "Tim" Monteiro: Affiliate Jiu Jitsu Instructor. As a black belt Andre has enjoyed teaching seminars in different academies and institutions throughout Brazil, Europe and the United States. He currently heads the Flex BJJ Academy in San Antonio, Texas. As an affiliate instructor, Andre will make regular visits to Paradigm for guest instruction and seminars. As a competitor Andre has won many titles including the Rio de Janeiro State Championships twice and the Brazilian National Championships twice.
Wrestling

Alberto Rodriguez: Alberto twice captured
bronze medals at the World Games and defeated US Olympic champions
Dave Schultz and
Kenny Monday during his storied career representing his native Cuba. He was the
Gold Medalist in both the 1988
World Cup and the 1988 Pan-American Games. He also represented
Cuba in the 1996
Olympics in Atlanta. Training with Alberto will give you a technical edge and the experience of learning from one of the world’s best.

Reed Shelger: Wrestling Instructor. Reed wrestled at Wodberry Forest School under hall-of-fame coach Dick Glover, winning a state title his senior year. Reed went on to wrestle in college for Johns Hopkins University where he set the school record for wins as a true freshman before transferring to UC Davis. At UC Davis Reed was coached by Lennie Zalesky, Mark Munoz, and Urijah Faber.

Gordon Oehmig: Wrestling Instructor. Gordon is the head wrestling coach at St. Thomas High School. Previously, Gordon was the assistant wrestling coach at Episcopal High School under head coach Steve Leisz. Gordon was a prep state champion at the Kinkaid High School, where he set records for career wins and career pins. Gordon was among the first Houston area wrestlers to earn a scholarship to wrestle at a Division 1 school.

George Parker: Wrestling Program Director. George has several years of coaching experience and is currently the assistant coach at Episcopal High School in Houston. George was a varsity wrestler at Oklahoma State University where he earned the "Most Dedicated" award in 1994. George was a high school state champion in Oklahoma in 1988.
