Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Class

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has proven to be the premier discipline for ground fighting in Mixed Martial Arts. We are proud to have a great class of enthusiastic students among the best in Houston's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gyms. Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position and using joint-locks and chokeholds to force an opponent to submit. BJJ can be trained for self defense, sport grappling tournaments, and Mixed Martial Arts competition. Specific techniques taught are designed either to improve one's position or as finishing submissions. Students will be encouraged to purchase a Gi.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a great activity for kids under 12. The sport is very safe compared to high speed, high contact sports like football, and it is a great base for any kid who is wrestling or has goals of wrestling. Our BJJ club's classes teach great basic grappling technique, and your kids will learn great lessons in dedication while having fun. Our youth Jiu Jitsu program is part of our overall Kid's Program, and is a great opportunity for Houston area parents to give their kids a positive experience.
